| ◎匿屬Christian派別之老字號德意志Melodic PowerMetal 樂團再起之作 ◎取用鼓手Mike Pfluger宇宙幻想題材 呈現出一氣呵成、絕無冷場的不朽樂章 Christian Metal、顧名思義就是以讚頌耶穌基督為出發點的重金屬曲風，但千萬別以為這樣只是單純的傳道意義而已，其正面性的思考創作搭配上狂野不羈的搖滾音符呈現出不突兀的融洽性。從80年代Glam Metal翹楚Stryper到現今P.O.D.、Underoath、As I Lay Dying等樂團深受年輕人喜愛的程度看來，證明Christian Metal在搖滾樂迷心中具絕對有舉足輕重的地位；而Seventh Avenue正是流著如此血脈的老字號德意志Melodic Power Metal樂團。 1989年，Herbie Langhans、William Hieb和Louis Schock三個篤信耶穌、也都喜愛搖滾的小夥子常常聚在一起練團玩音樂，不久後就有了自己的樂團；幾番討論後命名為Seventh Avenue。93年帶著自製的Demo《First Strike》到處爭取曝光表演機會，被慧眼識英雄的獨立廠牌簽下開始首張作品《Rainbowland》的錄音工作；原本很快就可完工卻因為種種問題拖延至95年才發表，還好初生之犢不畏虎的Seventh Avenue在搖滾圈中造成不小回響，隔年趁勝追擊的《Tales of Tales》更成功打入日本！之後的幾年由於Seventh Avenue內在因素導致團員來來去去換過不少任，不過在靈魂人物Herbie的帶領之下讓《Southgate(98)》、《Between The Worlds(03)》、《Eternals(04)》等專輯得以順利推出。 休息四年，以Herbie Langhans(主唱)、Florian Gottsleben(吉他)、Markus Beck(貝斯)、Mike Pfluger(鼓)四人之姿再度復活的Seventh Avenue選在今年發表最新創作《Terium》，將重拾創團之初的實力再度闖蕩樂壇！本次不同以往取聖經為題材，而是由Mike的宇宙幻想為靈感所譜寫的概念作品，15首歌曲環環相扣，絕無冷場！序幕＜Under the Surface＞讓人彷彿置身浩瀚外太空，緊接有著媲美Gamma Ray能量的＜Crowd in the Dark＞突如其來，營造熱血沸騰之不凡氣勢；同名主打＜Terium＞裡速彈狂飆、雙大鼓加上激昂的嗓音是支100%的標準德式金屬勁曲；＜Futures Dawn＞、＜Priests and Servants＞、＜Way to the Stars＞漂亮吉他Solo近收其中；專輯內唯一的慢板曲＜Innocence＞可聽見Herbie深情的詮釋。 資料來源：馬雅音樂 |
