| ◎美國權威搖滾樂評網站PITCHFORKMEDIA 9.3分超高評推崇 ◎美國鄉村民謠巨匠1978年暢銷經典雙CD精裝版 ◎創下停留鄉村音樂排行榜10年與500萬張銷售的傲人紀錄 ◎收錄＜Blue Skies＞、＜All Of Me＞、＜Georgia On My Mind＞以及重新詮釋16首美國經典流行歌曲24頁精闢英文專輯解說及多張首次曝光具歷史價值照片 威利．尼爾森 (Willie Nelson)給人的印象總是一身老嬉皮的打扮，唱著老土的美國鄉村歌。然而，他對美國流行音樂的貢獻卻是不可小覷。1970年代加入Columbia唱片後，跟著名鄉村歌手Waylon Jennings合作了《Wanted: The Outlaws!》專輯，由於他們創作的鄉村音樂不合傳統的納許維爾的鄉村音樂標準，自謂outlaw country。然而，他們稱之outlaw country的鄉村音樂新浪潮，卻意外銷售創下佳績，成為第一張白金鄉村音樂專輯，這也促使鄉村音樂的創作朝向更多元的發展。威利．尼爾森除了音樂創作外更是一位長期關心美國農業的歌手，1985年由他發起的Farm Aid更是80年代流行樂界慈善演唱會的代表。這個美國鄉村樂界的反骨就在1975年因專輯《Red Headed Stranger》大賣後，他在唱片的地位跟著水漲船高，於是就有更多的控制權決定下一張專輯的走向。1978年他告訴哥倫比亞唱片Nashville的行銷高層要錄製一張選自Hoagy Carmichael、George Gershwin、Duke Ellington這些通俗音樂大師的流行經典歌曲的專輯，這對正統鄉村音樂的選歌題材不啻又是一種出格的反叛。唱片公司礙於合約中規定威利尼爾森享有百分之百的創作權，只好不干涉此張專輯的製作。當時他在加州Malibu正好結識以Booker T . & The MG’s走紅樂壇的風琴手 Booker T .
