| 還沒聽閣樓蟲蟲? 你即將被大夥淘汰! 新世代Urban Sound獨領風騷 Broken Beats絕對招搖 2005一開春 全英國舞池都在播放＜Booty La La＞ 勇奪DJ雜誌Breaks+Beats榜冠軍+Radio 1-Buzz/Hype chart雙榜亞軍！！ 4 Hero+Macy Gray+Gene Harris+Jazzanova+Nitin Sawhney等 全球樂壇頂尖時尚巨星雲集 共襄盛舉 [限量原裝進口發行 超值雙碟單片價] 可能你還不認識Bugz In The Attic，這夥人帶來的這玩意叫Broken Beats聽來似乎也很陌生。麻煩的是Broken Beats以文字解釋起來有點吊詭，因為以碎拍為底夾帶靈魂爵士與拉丁(或非洲)樂的電氣節奏這說明聽起來讓人很難分辨它到底與其他哪裡多不同；另一尷尬是常被標籤為此派的創作者幾乎無一不否認。 簡單說，這發跡於西倫敦的Broken Beats經常跟Nu-Jazz/Soul一起出現，往前可追到Acid Jazz再溯源至 Fusion Jazz。與先前紅透英倫半邊天的2 Step 及美洲大陸上由The Neptunes等黃金製作組炒熱的Jiggy Hip Hop等風格彼此相通又相異的類型定義了這個世代的Urban Sound，此派重要推手包括當年以「Jazz In The House」起家，如今領軍著Focus計畫，已成一方代表的Phil Asher (多年來與Patrick Forge 搭檔每週五於 Notting Hill Arts Club的派對是此派聖地之一)及New Sector Movement等，而箇中超級組合Bugz In The Attic去年更受邀為倫敦指標舞場選輯Fabriclive坐鎮。 他們的選曲當然不避嫌地把組員個人的作品，如曾與4 Hero之Dego合作的Kaidi Tatham及Seiji(他與Bugz In The Attic同時還潛入Nitin Sawhney近來甫推出的＜All Mixed Up＞等混音單曲選裡)也混進來，這回的歷來混音單曲選《Got the Bug》，除了搶先曝光一曲原創新作＜Booty La La＞外，將大線條粗聲靈魂女伶Macy Gray翻修出全新時尚感的＜When I See You＞，接受爵士樂經典名廠Blue Note委託製作，曾在《Blue Note Revisited》發表過的Gene Harris新版＜Los Alamitos Latin Funk LoveSong＞也收錄其中，一出版便獲BBC Radio 1名牌Gilles Peterson之Worldwide Awards世界大獎提名”年度最佳選輯”，單曲＜Booty La La＞更直接拿下該獎的＜All Winners Cuts of the Year＞，這般高手，若不趕緊認識，豈不太落伍？ 資料來源：福茂唱片 |
