| 以一連串的混音作品在樂壇聲勢水長船高後，Alex Gopher在1998年橫跨放克、靈魂、爵士、Disco、House領域，推出首張個人專輯《You, my baby and I》，打造宛如Daft Punk和Air合體的法式感性和歡娛熱力。接著Alex Gopher又徹底拋開《You, My Baby and I》曲式，在2002年與Jeremie Mondon化名的實驗電音怪傑Demon，共同帶來電力加倍第二張專輯《Alex Gopher with Demon presents WUZ》，用和前作相仿的元素，激發截然不同的音樂風景，極度陰暗深陳的完美techno氛圍。 睽違四年的新作，Alex Gopher說要融合他的電音背景與對Devo、Talking Heads、New Order和Love & Rockets的喜愛，重新尋回創作、演奏和歌唱的樂趣，由長期音樂夥伴Etienne de Crecy擔綱製作和混音，昔日同袍Air兩位團員Nicolas Godin、Jean-Benoit Dunckel以及Nouvelle Vague的Olivier Libaux演奏吉他助陣。一開場便帶來把玩Old funk的招牌曲式〈Out of the Inside〉，接著下來House節奏引導的首支單曲〈Brain Leech〉，不難猜想Alex Gopher此次讓搖滾和電音並進的音樂走向，宛如New Order後龐克氣焰和Air精靈氣質狹路相逢的〈Nasty Wish〉，便是其中最具代表性的品之一。同樣的概念延伸到夾帶electro/disco-punk神采的〈Carmilla〉和〈Game〉，這位電音先鋒的生猛力道，也絕不讓The Rapture、LCD Soundsystem等後輩專美於前；而瀰漫Air經典專輯《Moon Safari》清新迷人氣息的〈Isn't It Nice？〉、〈Boulder, Colorado〉和〈5000 Moons〉，則展現營造電氣香頌柔美風韻上，無人出其左右的功力！跨入樂壇二十多年後，Alex Gopher再次成功隨著時代的脈動，將法國流行音樂推向國際潮流核心，以真實樂器演奏穿梭法式電氣的浪漫和狂放之間，領樂迷踏上一次心曠神怡的音樂旅程！ 資料來源：福茂唱片 |
