| 新作《Young Machetes》挾帶著強大的火力出輯，AMG給了四顆星高評。專輯開場的〈Set Fire To The Face On Fire〉就宣示著整張專輯的強大火力，節奏明確，鼓點猛烈，主唱狂猛的唱腔讓人醍醐灌頂，大呼痛快。〈We Ride Skeletal Lightning〉以粗獷的吉他刷弦貫穿其間，和聲編曲上增添了幾許詭異的黑暗感。〈Laser Life〉一曲主唱刻意將唱腔轉為俏皮，略似Jack White卻更為狂妄。〈You're The Dream Unicorn!〉是一首道地的噪音龐克，狂飆起來的鼓點跟吉他混雜著主唱鬼魅的嗓音，主唱在唱腔上幾乎快轉成黑死腔的演繹方式。〈Spit Shine Your Black Clouds〉一曲在一片狂暴聲中穿插入鋼琴音竟讓人感到些微的傷感，是首編曲嚴謹的長篇作品。〈Lift The Veil, Kiss The Tank〉以童音的唱腔搭配著暴戾的鼓擊與吉他營造出衝突感，中間曲風以吉他旋律做個180度的巧妙轉折，頗令人驚艷。〈Nausea Shreds Yr Head〉在看似狂亂中的噪音龐克下幾度轉折著多層次的音場變化。〈Rat Rider〉在快節奏下足以讓人宣洩出整年的不滿情緒。〈Johnny Ripper〉一曲則繼續在狂飆的節奏中讓人感到悲傷，就像狂飆的青春期一樣暴烈急促。〈Huge Gold AK-47〉是用來掃射鄰居跟教條權威的好武器，你只需將音響的喇叭扭到最大聲。〈Street Wars/Exotic Foxholes〉與〈Giant Swan〉算是碟內較為冷靜的曲目，前者是首搭配著弦樂的慢版抒情作品，後者在末段將慢版的情緒堆疊成高張的狂亂暴戾感。細數這些來自西雅圖的音樂，他們唯一的共同處正是：「這裡沒有不痛不癢的音樂。」The Blood Brothers也不例外。 資料來源：福茂唱片 |
