| 以流行Pop融合Fusion、靈魂與節奏藍調之樂風 獨領風騷的長青樂團最新精選 收錄＜September＞、＜Boogie Wonderland＞、＜Shining Star＞、＜That's The Way Of The World＞等多首不朽金曲 Earth, Wind & Fire的靈魂人物Maurice White1941年出生在Memphis，從青少年時期便開始音樂生涯，曾以鼓手身分加入Ramsey Lewis Trio樂團，1969年離開後與好友組成Salty Peppers樂團，發行＜Uh Huh Yeah＞單曲後移居洛杉磯並將團名改為Earth, Wind & Fire。Earth, Wind & Fire(EW&F)早已被視作70年代流行節奏藍調的首席代表樂團，他們圓熟融合靈魂、流行、放客、迪斯可、節奏藍調…等各種領域樂風的風格，為70年代中後期的黑人流行音樂掀起一陣狂瀾。成軍於1970年的EW&F，是由該團創作核心Maurice White，與他的弟弟Verdine White和其他幾位靈魂樂界好手共同組成。EW&F就維持著七至九人編制的規模，曲風也採多樣管弦樂器共同搭乘出豐富熱鬧層次、挾帶些許非洲傳統味道的趨向。每位團員都是既能唱又能演奏多樣樂器的EW&F，漂亮的真假音交替演唱方式以及炫麗的舞台裝扮，也都成為他們的註冊商標，並且對後來許多諸如：Kool & The Gang、The Commodores甚至Bee Gees等知名團體造成深遠的影響。 資料來源：SONY BMG唱片 |
